Joining the fight against sepsis

Sepsis is a very serious medical condition that presents a considerable diagnostic challenge to emergency department and intensive care clinicians.

Radiometer has joined the fight against this potentially fatal condition, providing a rapid, acute care testing solution for measuring procalcitonin (PCT), a biomarker to aid in the diagnosis of bacterial sepsis, allowing early detection and helping to save lives [1].

Today, PCT complements other testing recommended in sepsis guidelines [2].
